Freshmen admission to Lake Superior State University is based on high school GPA and ACT scores. You will hear from us within ten days of receipt of all application materials. Scholarship offers are mailed to eligible students within two weeks of admission.
Applying to LSSU
Our advice is to apply as early as possible. Though you can apply any time up to the beginning of the semester, for full consideration for financial aid and scholarships you must apply by March 1.

Application Fee
Submit the application fee ($25 online or $35 for paper application). If you apply online, you can pay by credit card. Otherwise, send us a check or money order made payable to Lake Superior State University.

High School Transcripts
Have your high school send an official transcript of your grades and class rank - most high schools provide this service free-of-charge in the guidance/counseling office.

Additional Transcripts
If you've taken college courses at universities other than LSSU, have each college send transcripts.

ACT/SAT I
Have your ACT or SAT I scores sent to us by ACT or the College Board. Our institutional code for ACT is 2031; for the SAT it is 1421.
