Alum Success

Dan Goodrich

“I chose LSSU expecting a very good engineering education. What I didn’t expect was faculty with real-world engineering experience and abilities, labs with real-world equipment, projects with real-world outcomes, and an entire campus staff with real interest in my success, as a student and yet today. My LSSU engineering education has created or supported every desired career opportunity. LSSU was absolutely the right place for me.”

Excess Aid Refunds

Excess aid refund checks issued in the first two weeks of school will be limited to $500. Any balance over $500 will be refunded starting 14 days after the start of classes.

Financial aid may be disbursed to your account prior to classes starting, however, refunds of excess financial aid at the beginning of fall and spring semesters will be limited to $500. The first $500 of excess aid will be available by direct deposit or refund check the Friday before classes start at 10:00 a.m. This will allow students to purchase books and supplies prior to classes beginning.

NOTE: All summer semester aid is not released until after classes start.

The remaining excess financial aid refunds will be issued starting 14 days after classes begin. This is to allow for all schedule adjustments during the drop/add period and to ensure that students are receiving the correct amount of refund.

Students who are using excess aid to pay for off campus housing may request a letter to present to their landlord showing the tentative excess aid to be refunded in order to prove funding for housing. Please make requests at the Business Office.

Avoid standing in line for your check by having your refund deposited directly into your bank account. Sign up for direct deposit through the Bill and Payment Suite in Anchor Access. For more information on using the Bill and Payment Suite, click here.
